Green Ethiopia

Green Ethiopia produces, plants, and protects trees and forests in rural Ethiopia together with smallholder farmers. Forests improve the natural environment and thus enable a better life: more water, more nutrient-rich soil, and, for example, a greater prevalence of bees allow for better and additional production.

0 trees offset at least one ton of CO2 (during their growth over 10 years). The smallholder farmers typically work together in groups and reforest entire hill ranges in 3-5 years. A prerequisite for successful projects is that the entire village community (typically several hundred people) on the hill supports the project.

Momokin supports reforestation projects in the southern Sidamo region. More than 35,000 trees have now been planted through the sale of postcards. (As of the end of 2025)
